Movement Reset
A Note from Jane
Shake It Off – Gently
Hi Lovely,
Whether you’re navigating pregnancy or tending to your little one, gentle movement can reconnect you to your body and shift your energy in powerful ways.
Movement doesn’t need to be big to be meaningful.
Some days, a full yoga session feels impossible. But swaying to a favourite song while holding your baby, or doing a few circles on a birth ball, is movement. And it counts.
This week is about reclaiming your body in soft, doable ways.
Pregnancy Corner: Hip Circles & Seated Stretch
Your hips hold a lot — physically and emotionally. These two gentle moves help release tension and support mobility as your body grows and prepares for birth.
Try this 3-minute flow:
Sit on a birth ball or chair
Begin slow, steady hip circles in both directions
Then, reach arms overhead and gently stretch side to side
Even a few rounds can bring relief and grounding.
Mama & Me Moments: Dance It Out
Music is a medicine all its own. Babies love rhythm — and moving together can be a beautiful reset for you both.
3-song playlist for your reset:
"Lovely Day" – Bill Withers
"Ain’t No Mountain High Enough" – Marvin Gaye & Tammi Terrell
"You Make My Dreams" – Hall & Oates
Strap baby in a sling, grab them in your arms, or just bop along while they watch. Let the tension melt. Let the joy back in.
🧘♀️ Mini Yoga Moment: Morning Energiser Flow
Sometimes, just five intentional movements can shift your whole mood.
Try this gentle sequence:
Cat/Cow on hands and knees (5 breaths)
Child’s Pose (3–5 breaths)
Downward Dog or Puppy Pose (optional)
Seated Twist, both sides
Hands on heart, deep breath to finish
Your body will thank you.

Coming Up Next Week
Next week, we’ll close our Calm Nest journey with: Reflect & Celebrate. A moment to honour how far you’ve come.
Until then, keep moving gently.
